Jan was introduced to the travel industry over 20 years ago through her passion for scrapbooking.. She was asked by a fellow travel planner and scrapbook enthusiast to assist with organizing Scrapbook Cruises, which eventually led to planning many other types of travel.
This is more than simply booking vacations. It is meeting people I otherwise might not have, building relationships, and caring about their full travel experience.
Throughout her career, Jan has believed it is important to educate herself. She has earned both CLIA Accredited Cruise Counselor certification (ACC) and Certified Travel Associate certification (CTA). She has also completed certifications with individual Ocean and River cruise lines, Resort, Wedding, and Honeymoon certifications for many destinations around the world, and she is very proud to be a graduate of the Disney College of Knowledge and the Universal Specialist Program. Jan has also attended on-site agent educational programs including: Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Orlando, Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruise Line, Princess Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, and Ensemble Travel Group Convention.
In addition to working on individual and family travel planning, she has also enjoyed coordinating many cruise and all-inclusive resort groups.
Jan has had the pleasure of traveling to many destinations (via land and cruise), such as Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, England, Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, many US states and Puerto Rico, as well as Disney World, Disneyland, and Universal Orlando, among other locations.
Along with her travel education, she feels her own travel experience helps with planning trips for others.
When she is not planning trips, Jan can be found spending time with family, scrapbooking, running at local parks, reading travel books, and dreaming of her next trip.
